Challenge: Alibaba required ship charter logistics for their first meeting at sea with 2,000 global invitees.

Sales Incentive Ship Charter
Liberty Mutual President’s Award Ship Charter, San Juan, Puerto Rico
Challenge: Our client needed to source an ultra-premium ship to accommodate all qualifiers in identical staterooms for a top-tier incentive program. They also required logistical support.
Solution: Landry & Kling negotiated an 8-day ship charter split into two back-to-back cruises. We served as the logistics liaison between the client and the cruise line, assisted with program coordination, and provided on-site support.
Results: Cost savings from the all-inclusive charter allowed creative customization during the deck parties and President’s Dinner Event for maximum impact. The result was an incentive trip that exceeded expectations and delighted all attendees.

WOD on the Waves, Miami, Florida
Challenge: Our client had a vision to produce a large-scale Crossfit-style cruise charter, which they had never done to this scale.
Solution: Landry & Kling helped to bring the vision to reality. The 4-night charter accommodated 2,800 fitness enthusiasts, athletes, and sponsors. We helped coordinate the shipping and loading of 225 pieces of fitness equipment and round-the-clock programming.
Result: The 1st Crossfit-style full ship charter was a tremendous success. Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback from guests, athletes, and sponsors, our client signed a 3-year contract with Landry & Kling for more cruise ship charters.
Dockside Accommodation Ships
Landry & Kling provides specialized services for dockside accommodations used as floating hotels. Our dockside ship charters offer supplemental housing for international sporting events, government summits, and city-wide conferences. Disaster Relief Ships
Landry & Kling has the contacts and experience to rapidly mobilize ships and vessels for disaster relief operations and temporary housing. Passenger ships, ferries, and barges can transport life-saving supplies, humanitarian aid, and equipment to the affected areas. These vessels also offer safe, secure accommodations for medical personnel, disaster response teams, workforce crews, and displaced citizens.
Hurricane Disaster Relief
Long-Term Vessel Charter, New Orleans, Louisiana
Challenge: When Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana, the Category 4 storm shattered the power grid, leaving more than one million homes and businesses in Louisiana and Mississippi without electricity. As utility crews scrambled to restore power, workforce accommodations were scarce.
Solution: Landry & Kling sourced a cruise ship within 24 hours for a long-term charter. The ship sailed from Florida to New Orleans to house workers and deliver relief supplies to the hardest-hit areas.
Result: Loaded with provisions and supplies, the dockside ship accommodated 1,500 front-line workers and provided food and beverage services as they worked to restore power to the region.
Humanitarian and Government Relief Programs
Landry & Kling has the global resources to rapidly source and deploy ships to provide relief and temporary housing during a humanitarian crisis. We understand the needs of those affected and work to convert ships into safe and secure floating accommodations. Working with local governments and agencies, we aim to ensure that all seeking shelter receive a warm welcome and access to appropriate support services.
Accommodation Ship Charters for Ukrainian Refugees
Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland
Challenge: Scotland agreed to accept thousands of Ukrainian war refugees and was in urgent need of accommodations in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Solution: Thanks to a team effort spanning four countries, we found and deployed two ships to temporarily house displaced refugees within two weeks.
Result: Over 3,000 Ukrainians, including 800 children, received safe, secure housing for 18 months. Both ships offered meals, housekeeping, medical services, and children’s activities. CEO Joyce Landry and our onsite team worked with the Scottish government to meet all refugees’ physical and emotional needs. Joyce lived onboard the vessels to manage day-to-day operations, which led to the foundation of the nonprofit Mission of Innocents, dedicated to supporting displaced children worldwide.
Workforce Housing and Military Projects
Landry & Kling can access ships, ferries, floatels, and barges for temporary workforce accommodations worldwide. Dockside or offshore vessels are fully functioning and can be mobilized and ready to operate in less time than establishing temporary land-based accommodations.
We can also rapidly source appropriate vessels and provide logistical services for maritime support projects, including accommodating military personnel during ship renovations, training operations, and exercises.
Workforce Vessel Charter for the U.S. Navy
Military Contractor on behalf of United States Navy, Jacksonville, Florida
Challenge: The US Navy needed to accommodate military personnel during renovations of their Navy vessel.
Solution: We sourced and rapidly deployed a floating accommodation vessel.
Result: The chartered vessel accommodated the displaced Navy sailors and personnel for six months while their ship was under renovation so they could continue their duties and training.
