Helping Hurricane Dorian Evacuees

Our company wanted to do something for the evacuees of hurricane Dorian. We asked our staff to gather/purchase supplies and they were loaded into Vicki’s car for delivery to the Christ Episcopal Church in Coconut Grove, the first community settled in South Florida by Bahamians.

The supplies have been flowing through this church and loaded onto planes and container ships for delivery to the shelters in Nassau, which is where most of the evacuees are being housed and fed. There are thousands more in the Abacos still being evacuated.

2019 CEU At Sea / Mariner of the Seas / June 24 – 28, 2019

Senior Operations Specialist Gretta Roque joined a group of medical professionals onboard Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas to ensure the 2019 CEU at SEA Annual Convention was a seamless success! The 4-night Bahamas cruise sailed roundtrip from Port Canaveral, Florida June 24 – 28. The itinerary included a day at sea plus visits to Nassau, Bahamas and a “Perfect Day” at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island experience.

Here is the Mariner of the Seas docked in CocoCay. According to Gretta, it really was a ‘perfect day’ because the group had the entire island to themselves

In addition to fun activities onboard and ashore, the program offered 103 attendees educational sessions for a maximum of 24.5 hours of continuing professional development credit. Social events designed just for attendees also allowed fun-filled opportunities to network and mingle with fellow conference attendees.

Le Boreal Ship Visit

The L&K team visited Ponant’s 264 passenger luxury boutique ship, Le Boréal, at a rare visit to the Port of Miami today. “Being a FAN of Virgin!”

Last night’s SeaLicious event in New York was AMAZING! Virgin Voyages President, Tom Mcalpin and his culinary team rolled out their unique (and all-inclusive) food & beverage plans for their new ship, the scarlet lady. We got a taste of Razzle Dazzle and their “gay brunch” complete with the most famous “Queens of New York.” Different? You bet! We can trust Richard Branson for being a disrupter and bringing his own brand of flair and playfulness into the cruise industry… gay brunch shown  with @StacyShawn, VP Sales & Business Development

Getting inspired at FICP in Orlando!

The hottest speaker in the U.S., Mel Robbins showed us how to overcome procrastination, turn nervousness into excitement and banish anxiety – in 5 SECONDS! Wow! The FICP organizers knocked it out of the park with Mel’s presentation. She is a motivational speaker, CNN commentator, television host and author of The 5 Second Rule. Joyce had the pleasure to chat with Mel afterward during their networking event. I didn’t procrastinate with that introduction (or to ask for a photo (!) #FICP18
