MIAMI–Landry & Kling Inc., pioneering specialists in meetings at sea and incentive cruises, announced that veteran meeting professional Stephen Sorenson will serve as the company’s Director of Business Development for the Midwest, a new position. With more than 20 years in the meetings and incentive industry, Sorenson has extensive experience with group cruises, ship charters, and back-to-back programs.

From his home base in Minneapolis, Sorenson will expand Landry & Kling’s presence in the region, working with corporations and associations as well as developing stronger ties with third party buyers. In addition to providing quick and impartial ship sourcing, Sorenson will also introduce clients to Landry & Kling’s wide array of cruise event services.

Prior to joining Landry & Kling, Sorenson served as Account Executive for Docherty Incentives and Meetings. In addition to sales, his skills from earlier positions with Cruise Holidays, Carlson Marketing Group and BI include strategic procurement, contract and supplier negotiations, program planning, and financial management. Altogether he brings a wealth of first-hand cruise knowledge to his clients, having sailed on 90 ships in destinations ranging from Alaska to Tahiti.
