American Girl (25th Anniversary Celebration)
Fans of American Girl Dolls will meet for the first time aboard ship in 2011 to celebrate girls and all they can be. Landry & Kling is providing pre-event coordination, web registration, customer service, and onsite logistical support. Customized activities includes American Girls movie screening, friendship brunch, mother/daughter cooking demos, afternoon tea parties, birthday celebrations and special events for girls and their dolls.
Tattoo Convention
It took some effort to convince a cruise line that Tattoo Artistry was an appropriate activity for a cruise ship. Landry & Kling paved the way for the first ever Tattoo Convention at sea for famous tattoo artists and their fans. The convention includes educational seminars, tattooing sessions, trade-show with tattoo specific vendors, contests and art auction, among others.
Rock Legends Cruise
This floating rock festival for a cause aboard Royal Caribbean International’s spectacular, Liberty of the Seas, departs December 1, 2011 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Headliners ZZ Top and George Thorogood and the Destroyers will be joined by John Kay and Steppenwolf, The Marshall Tucker Band, Dickey Betts & Great Southern, Foghat, Johnny Winter, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws,Blackfoot, Pat Travers and SwampDaWamp, with each playing multiple sets in an array of ship board venues. Fans will have an unprecedented opportunity to rock the waves while rocking out to their favorite bands for 4 nights on a cruise which also includes stops at a private beach island and Nassau, Bahamas.
Chocolate Fantasy Cruises
Chocolate Fantasy Cruises Special interest cruises were marketed to subscribers of Chocolatier Magazine and to chocolate aficionados in the general marketplace by Landry & Kling via press releases, advertising, and interviews with radio and newspaper columnists.
Landry & Kling planned and operated 6 Chocolate Fantasy Cruises aboard Queen Elizabeth 2 sponsored by Chocolatier Magazine and over a dozen fine chocolate companies. The programs featured a whole schedule of chocolate-themed events such as chocolate dessert making, chocolate history lectures, special tastings and more. See Case Study
Scottish Ceilidh Cruises
Special interest cruises were marketed through Scottish clan publications nationwide, at Scottish Highland Games, and through the fans of the Scottish performers featured on the cruises. Landry & Kling provided a variety of Scottish-themed entertainment on these cruises including Scottish country dancing and instructors, musicians, singers, story tellers, and whiskey tastings courtesy of Cutty Sark Scotts Whisky, sponsor of the series of 3 cruises to the Caribbean, Canada and the Maritime Provinces, and Bermuda..
