Annual convention & family program for a direct selling company. (1600 adults, 250 kids)

Our planners wanted a deluxe family program with well supervised children’s activities and the same counselor-to-child ratios they used at their land-based conventions. Would the children’s programs aboard ship be adequate?

We recommended a charter of the 1750-passenger Century for our very family-oriented client – a direct selling company.  With hundreds of kids onboard, it was important to us to not only take care of the invitees, but also to plan for the families.

Landry & Kling assigned two Program Managers and created two programs — operating one for the adult program, the other exclusively for the children. We recruited and trained 30 qualified children’s counselors to supplement the cruise line’s staff, and developed a customized children’s program (with activity grids and daily agendas) for 260 children in four age groups.

Another family program for a different company sailed with 1000 adults and 375 children aboard Ecstasy, so we’re familiar with the issues in planning cruises for families.
